Now I know what my friend was talking about when she stated so shockingly in disbelief that she was officially a blogger. I am in denial that I'm blogging right now because I find it a little too technorati for me. Since I am on a "writing" swing though, I might as well continue my quest to be as productive as possible. Last night was a particularly interesting night. Interesting for me at least because it involved something other than job searching, wall staring and outside noise analysis. I decided to dive in and make a potato salad recipe that my boyfriend printed for me. It sounded delicious and simple so why not? I remember the days when my grandmother and grandfather would team up and gruel for hours chopping vegetables for their infamous, hearty potato salad. Of course that thought didn't cross my mind until midway through 10 pounds of boiling potatoes, bowls of chopped onion and celery and various condiments of different nationalities so eagerly awaiting their union with the potatoes. I made it through the entire potato salad recipe which in case your wondering came out delicious. Shortly thereafter I received a call from my boyfriends pool hall friend who is moving to Vegas next week. He wanted to see if I was going to drop by so he could say goodbye. I stated that I had just finished making potato salad from which followed :
"I'll give you a $1.00 to get a life!!!" We both started cracking up because to him making potato salad would never win over pool. Some might think how boring is that? I had the best of both worlds last night. Not only do we (my boyfriend and I) have 2 tubs of potato salad to indulge in, but I also made it to the pool hall for a proper goodbye . Of course I gave my friend and his wife a bin of potato salad to enjoy. My only dilemma now is deciding how far to sink in potato salad!!!!

Very well written Neen. I checked the above link. Sounds delicious. However, grandma and grandpa's recipe had different ingredients. They used small round boiling potates, chopped carrots, chopped green peppers, boiled eggs, vinegar, mayo and graded onions (yes graded, so you can imagine the tears they shed). Grandma alway gave that job to grandpa LOL. Guess what?? With all your talk about potato salad I decided to make it this weekend. Thanks for reminding me what I have been missing. Love Mom
